Panel Upgrade
Replace outdated electrical panels with modern, code-compliant systems that safely handle today's power demands. Licensed installation with permit and inspection coordination.
How it works
Site Assessment
We evaluate your existing panel, calculate your home's electrical load, and confirm service entrance capacity. You'll get a written estimate with amperage recommendation and timeline.
Permit and Scheduling
We file the permit with your municipality and coordinate any utility company work if your meter or service cable needs replacement.
Installation
We disconnect power, remove the old panel, install the new load center, reconnect and label all circuits, and verify grounding. Power is typically restored the same day.
Inspection and Sign-Off
The local inspector reviews the work. Once approved, you receive a signed permit card for your records.
Common questions
How long will my power be off?+
Most panel upgrades are completed in one day. Power is off during the installation, typically four to eight hours depending on the complexity of the job.
Do I need to upgrade my service entrance too?+
Not always. If your existing service cable and meter base can handle the new panel's amperage, we can reuse them. We'll assess that during the site visit.
Will this work with my home insurance?+
Yes. Replacing a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel often satisfies insurance requirements. We provide documentation of the permit and inspection for your insurer.
